All the 6th graders every year perform a play for all the school, parents and friends. This is a tradition at Alliance Academy. Dustin was Melampo, the dog and a fish in the sea. They worked endlessly on this play for almost 3 months. We were so impressed of how professional it was and how wonderful all the cast members did in this play. Of course, the story was of "Pinochio." Dustin is in the middle as Melampo

Michael at the Summit of the mountain and volcano, Pinchincha
At this point, Michael and Dustin were at about 15,000 ft. elevation. What an adventure they had this particular day. They set out at 8:30 and didn't return until 9:00 that evening. We can see this volcano/mountain from our window in our apartment. At one time, the fog set in and the darkness set in and the only way out was a path that God showed them as they were descending down the mountain. They carried mashettes, knives, mase, and other items such as food and water.
Ellie's special welcome at Hups!!
Hups is a place where you can rock climb, jump on the trampoline, play in a water center and many more things. During her party, they made door hangers as their gifts and received cake, cola and prizes afterwards. Ellie had a great 8th birthday with all her "girl" classmates and one good boy missionary friend. We told Ellie how blessed she was to have had one party in the states and another in Ecuador.
