ARENAL: ONE OF GOD'S WONDERS

This is Arenal: We visited this volcano which is the only active volcano in Costa Rica. It is always active and all day and night the sounds and debris from the volcano can be seen and heard. Arenal is outside of San Jose several 100 miles. We were able to witness to several people in this area who don't know Christ and to enjoy one of God's wonders of the world.

THE WOLLETT'S IN LANGUAGE SCHOOL

Dear Friends and Family,

The Wollett's are doing well!!!! We only have one more week of classes before our first trimester ends. It is hard to believe we have completed 1/4 of the year of Spanish Language School. Dustin and Ellie are doing well in school; they will be finished with school at the end of April. Starting May, they begin an interium program where they will receive more instructional Spanish and they will choose between several electives for extra classes. We are enjoying our new friends that we are meeting at church and at school. The above is a picture of Porto Viejo in Limon which is four hours outside of the city of San Jose. We traveled here with other missionaries for a time away from school and the city. We have been given many opportunities to share Christ while in San Jose and the surrounding cities. While we are purchasing vegetables and fruits at the Feria (market) or riding in a taxi, we share Christ with those who have never heard or with those who may be confused.

FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER FROM COSTA RICA

Hello Praying Friends and Family,

The Wollett's are doing well. We have now finished a full 2 months of Language School. It is hard to believe; we have all learned a great deal of Spanish. We could not be doing as well as we are without your prayers. Daily, we feel your prayers because we have a peace and comfort here that can not be explained other than prayers sent to heaven for us. Dustin and Ellie are doing great in school and continue to love soccer and gymnastics. We would love for you to pray for these specific prayer requests:

Continued smooth learning in Spanish

Continued good health for the entire family

Peace and comfort for us while we continue our stay here in Costa Rica

Hedge of protection around us

I would also like to take this time to let our entire church know that we love them, and we are praying for the Lamb family, search committee for the search for a new pastor, and for a hedge of protection around our church during this vulnerable time. For those that do not know,

Rev. Jim Lamb, pastor of Enterprise Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Please be in prayer for Ann, Karen, Katherine,Camden and Grace.

Dustin and Ellie loved the lake right by the pool where they were able to swim, ride horses, and play with all their new friends.

This is the view one and half hours outside of San Jose near Cartago. Michael,Dustin,Ellie and myself joined other families from the Spanish Language Institue for an outing deep in the valley of the city. There was horseback riding, lake activities and swimming. It was one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. We sure needed this one day get away after one month of Spanish. The kids had an awesome time.

These precious children live in an area not for from San Jose. These children are a result of a recent house church started in November of 2006. Michael,Dustin,Ellie and myself along with others took a VBS to their poor community. We received such a blessing from these children who were eager to hear about "their Father" who loves them.

We are at a pizza place right down the road from our home. All the of missionaries eat there every Thursday night because we have designated Thursday night as missionary night.
This is a picture of our new house in Costa Rica. We will be sending you pictures of the inside real soon. We love our little home even through the barb wire and several gates. We have two gates and a door to unlock and lock everytime we enter and exit our home. We feel very safe because we have a man that rides a bike and blows a whistle all day and night to keep our street safe.

Dear Friends and Family,
Michael and I want to thank you for all your prayers and visits. We have grown in the Lord here at ILC and look forward to sharing what we have learned with you when we get home. We are so thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord in this capacity. We could not have endured our stay here if it wasn't for your prayers. We wish all of you much joy and peace in the upcoming year. We will be leaving the U.S. on Decemeber 29th for Language School in Costa Rica. We wanted to say good-bye to you now as we embark on our new and exciting journey. Our prayer requests would be to pray for a smooth transition in our language study, safety in our travels and that our family would meet a local Costa Rican to help us while we are in language school. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Blessed New Year.

Catholic Basillica in Washingon,D.C.

We were asked to go see the Basillica in D.C. because the religion in Quito, Ecuador is Catholicism. Please begin praying for our people group in Quito, the Quicha Mestizado's, that God would begin preparing their hearts to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
