ELLIE WAS SO PROUD OF THE PUMPKIN SHE CARVED WITH HER CLASSMATES. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THE TEACHER WAS ABLE TO FIND PUMPKINS. ELLIE SAID THAT ALL DURING THE DAY ON THE 31ST, THEY DID THEIR CLASSWORK BY CANDLE THAT WAS LIT IN THEIR PUMPKINS.

Michael had the awesome blessing and privilege of assisting in the baptism of Sylvi, the girlfriend of Ruben who is the brother of Ignacio, the pastor of the Carcelen church.(the other person assisting in the baptism with Michael.

Jenny's 21st Birthday celebration

We joined Jenny, a new sister in Christ, in celebrating her 21st birthday and her new life with Christ. The tradition is you have to put your face in the cake but they were pretty generous with Jenny, making her only bite her own cake.

Dustin turned 13 on October 23rd.

Dustin had the best time on his 13th Birthday. It is hard to believe that we have a teenager now.

Bret and Brenda's children and our children had the pleasure of spending the night at the camp as well. While the children, Bret and Michael camped out, Brenda and I were in the nice warm cabins with the rest of the nationals and the volunteer team.

Representatives from each church led us in a praise and worship service on Sunday, our last day of the prayer retreat.

Nationals and US Volunteer Team

Michael and Bret, part of the Quichua Pichincha team, hosted a training at "El Refugio" which is a training camp to teach Christian values and leadership skills. This picture includes the five national churches and the US volunteer team. The US volunteer team came to teach the leaders of these churches on prayer.

This was the view when we woke up in the morning and came out of our tent. This is the hikers haven of the world.

Our family and Lisa went camping at the base of the second largest active volcano in the world, Cotopaxi. Wow. what an experience. We had the best view of anyone in the world of this spectacular snow capped volcano.

Poor little guinea pig. Guinea Pig is a delicassy here in Quito. We had it prepared for us when Lisa came to visit at our dear friend in Chirst, Maria. After killed and cooked, it is called Cuey.

Ellie donated her hair to a women's cancer foundation called Panteen. Ellie had the pleasure of getting her hair cut, 8 inches, from her Aunt Shesha(AKA Lisa)

We took Lisa to the top of Pichincha volcano, one of the 13 that surround Quito, Ecuador.

I took this picture in sleet, rain, and snow. We were at about 15,000 feet elevation almost at "El Refugio" We couldn't stay long outside b/c of the conditions at the top. What a great site it was. Cotopaxi is the second largest volcano in the world.

Wollett Family Photo at the "almost" top of Pichincha, one of the 13 volcanos surrounding Quito, Ecuador and one that we can view every day out of our window. We rode the "Teleferico" up and then walked to about 14,000 feet elevation.

This is a Quichua lady from Izacata. She gave Nene her prize possesion, her Quicha necklace. We all just cried when she put it around NeNe's neck. What a heart felt gift it was!!! She has one of the two house churches in this area.

This is Ellie and her very best friend, Vickie. Victoria left Ecuador with her parents and her brother to live in Texas. Victoria is a gem. She is American/Ecuadorian. Her grandparents still live here but she has her other grandparents that live in the states. Eventhough Vickie looks younger, they are the same age. They were playing dress-up and presenting a "play" in this picture during a sleepover.

This man is the president of the Santos Pamba barrio where we are working and where we took a volunteer team to help finish a building and to evangelize. Every community has a president to whom you must get approval before entering.
